Lynne Castonguay

B.Ps., M.A.Ps., LL.B.

Lynne Castonguay has been with the University of Moncton for the past 21 years.  She worked as assistant director of the International Centre of Common Law in the Faculty of Law from 1994 to 2005, and was appointed Secretary-General of the university in 2006. Madame Castonguay holds a Bachelor's degree in Psychology, a Master of Arts in Psychology, and a Bachelor of Laws degree.  She has been a member of the New Brunswick bar since 1994.
 
A highly engaged member of her community, Madame Castonguay served as treasurer and president of the association of French-language jurists of New Brunswick, as a member of the Forum de concertation des organismes acadiens du Nouveau-Brunswick and as a member of the commission on legislative democracy of New Brunswick.  In April of 2014, she was appointed vice-president of the international organization of secretaries-general of the universities of the Francophonie (GISGUF) for a two-year term.

As secretary-general, Madame Castonguay is a member of the senior leadership team of the University of Moncton, and she coordinates the activities of its senior governing bodies, the board of governors and the academic senate, as well as their standing committees.  Mme. Castonguay is also responsible for access to information requests for the university.
