Sheree Drummond was appointed Secretary of the Governing Council of the University of Toronto in March 2016.   Previous to that, she served in the role of Deputy Secretary of the Governing Council since July 2012.   Prior to joining the Office of the Governing Council, Sheree served as the Assistant Provost in the Office of the Vice-President and Provost at the University of Toronto from 2003 to 2012 (over which time she supported three Provosts). 

From 1997 to 2003 Sheree was at the University of Alberta where she served as the Government Relations Associate in the Office of the Vice-President (External Relations) from 2002-2003; the Director of Campus Ministry & Student Services at St. Joseph College (U of A) from 1998-2002; and as Acting Director from 1997-1998.  From 2000 to 2003 she served as a member of the University of Alberta Senate.  Sheree began her career as a Legislative Assistant to a Member of Parliament and was a Canadian Parliamentary Intern.  She holds a Bachelor of Arts (Specialist in Political Science, Major in French Language and Literature) from the University of Toronto, a Master of Arts (Political Science) from Dalhousie University and a Master of Divinity from Newman Theological College.
