Mike Grivicic is Associate University Secretary at the University of Waterloo, where he has served since 2012. In this role he has provided governance expertise for a wide variety of governance bodies supporting the Board of Governors, Senate, and for senior operational functions, in addition to organizing numerous academic and non-academic executive search processes and providing advice and interpretation on policy and governance matters. He is an active member of the Council of Ontario University Secretaries, where he served as chair (2018-19). Prior to joining the University of Waterloo, he held roles supporting governance in the municipal sector as well as in policy analysis with the federal government.
 
He earned his BSc (Honours Science, Chemistry Minor, 2004) from the University of Waterloo, and his MA (Public Administration, 2006) from Carleton University.
