Lyn McDonell, CAE, C. Dir., is a governance, strategy and organizational effectiveness consultant based in Toronto, Ontario and doing work in Canada and Asia.  Lyn’s passionate purpose is helping leaders deliver on their missions through facilitating strategic planning, determining organizational accountabilities and scorecards, and helping align goals, roles, people and resources.   She has special expertise in governance. 
 
Lyn is a graduate of the Advanced Strategy Executive Program of the Richard Ivey School of Business.  She is trained in mapping strategy to create a Balanced Scorecard and has helped developed strategies for associations, health charities, coalitions and service organizations.  Lyn has served as Chief Executive Officer and a Chief Operating Officer in two national organizations in Canada -- as CEO of the Canadian Breast Cancer Foundation and as COO of the Canadian Diabetes Association (CDA).  Her work with Board leadership at CDA resulted in recognition of that organization with the 2005 Conference Board of Canada/Spencer Stuart National Award in Governance
 
Lyn is a Certified Association Executive (CAE) and has the Chartered Director professional designation in governance awarded through The Directors College, offered by McMaster University’s DeGroote School of Business and The Conference Board of Canada. She serves on the Not-for-Profit Task Force of the Canadian Institute of Chartered Accountants (CICA) and is a member of the new board of The Scarborough Hospital.  

Lyn offers consulting and training services to not-for-profit organizations in governance, strategy and organizational accountability.
