Dalhousie University, Saint Mary’s University and Mount Saint Vincent University are well underway in planning this year's Professional Development Day program.

The morning of Thursday, April 30, will open with a keynote address by Dr. Sheila Brown, former President and Vice-Chancellor of Mount Saint Vincent University. Her keynote topic will be “Good Governance and Board Leadership: Engendering Transparency and Trust."

The keynote address will be followed by a panel discussion revolving around the same topic. Panelists will include Jane O'Connor, Director of Secretariat at Mount Royal University and Julia Eastman, University Secretary at the University of Victoria.

On the afternoon of April 30, Lea Pennock, former University Secretary of the University of Saskatchewan, will moderate a panel tentatively entitled: “A Front-Row Seat on Board Tensions: Lessons Learned.” Panelists confirmed at this time are Marion Haggarty-France, University Secretary at the University of Alberta and Beth Williamson, University Secretary at the University of Saskatchewan.

Please check back regularly for program updates. Participation in Professional Development Day is limited to Board Professionals.
